Before that...

and even before this

and before all of that (btw photos are courtesy of Benjamin's Facebook and in any case you get the idea right?... he's hot)

I was surprised that i had enough published work for my December 2010 portfolio because i only remember doing a couple of editorials (November and December did pass me by so fast) and I did focus on teaching the Fashion Styling Class for the past months in the Fashion Institute of the Philippines.

It is always a pleasure working with Seven, who incidentally (i dont know if he remembers) did my first ever ever fashion editorial for a magazine. It was our first shoot back in 2009 with the controversial model Sebastian Monroe. It was published in STATEMENT Magazine and was also featured in The Fashionisto. But we never got to release the photos we did in the breakwater (we did 2 different shoots that day) those were the best photos in my portfolio for long while.

It was really nice working with Benjamin and Bruna, both were really approachable and easy to work it. Benjamin and i even talked about his Phillip Lim show back in New York (briefly). I got a chance to work with Bruna again for the PR Campaign of RSSI for TRUCCO.

Anyhoo here is my Benjamin Tang experience... or rather the photos from the shoot we did for Lifestyle Asia Travel - Travel in Style section which i had the opportunity of doing for the past 2 issues. (Thanks MEGA and Lifestyle Asia Travel)

there are actually more layouts for this but i havent had the chance to scan or get the copies from Lawrence (Lawrence Mistades the new graphic artist of LAT).

Yvan Rodic, the FACEHUNTER is coming here in Manila on the 29th of December (Wednesday) for the much awaited book signing of his book amply named FACEHUNTER. It is in collaboration with STATUS Magazine, (which i love, because its not just a Magazine, its a LIFESTYLE) it is a bimonthly youth lifestyle/culture/style/music/future magazine published here in the Philippines and is also distributed in Singapore, Paris and New York.

Check out their new Dec-Jan 2011 issue.

The FACEHUNTER Book Signing Event will be in Fullybooked Highstreet 6PM

so ya'll better be there!

Dont miss out! (and dont forget to bring your FACEHUNTER books! Mere presence doesnt count if you dont have the book lol)

Im seriously stoked that GDragon and T.O.P released their new full length album today. Good timing though since BIGBANG is set to release next year February! and thats still too long! So anyway im definitely adding GD&TOP HIGH HIGH album to my christmas and new year wishlist. Im now on lookout for online websites so i can order it! i cant wait! :)

Merry Christmas! XOXO

Kurisumasu Omedeto! Sung Tan Chuk Ha! Feliz Navidad! Merry Christmas!

♥ ♥ ♥

Hope you are all done with your christmas spending (yeah! better spend those hard earn money or why work lol) But better think about on what you give and buy. Just dont be an impulsive buyer like myself (no matter how wonderful that laser cut print prints of Balenciaga and that patchwork of Comme de Garcons... think about it first... which i hope i did lol. Someone should stop me from going back to that wonderful Dries van Noten top!!!!) everything should mean something or or or OR just to appease splurging here is a great suggestion by

WhoWhatWear by Hillarry Kerr and Katherine Power

(I highly suggest this book! i teach this to my Fashion Styling students in FIP)

The Cost of an ITEM divided by how many times you wear it.

If you spend $400 on a pair of designer shoes, you love, but you end up wearing them 4 times a week. They have a price per wear of $1.92

[4 times a week X 52 weeks in a year = 208]

[$400 divided by 208]

[total of price per wear is $1.98]

get it? great advice right? love it :)

So anyway since its christmas tomorrow, here is the video 1:43 with their first digital single Merry Christmas Na! i styled them here. Since i love anything thats remotely kpop/jpop/and anything in between you'll just have to love them cute guys.

Plus! Kim kinda-almost-sorta looks like Shun Oguri ((forgive me i just finished watching Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana Kimi) Live Action Japanese Drama 2007))

Give me more time and ill find the other 3 lookalikes lol

High High High

uhm excuse me... NEW Music Video RELEASE from GDragon and T.O.P.!!! I didnt even know they have a new single! i love it. I love GDragon!

Here is their newmusic video HIGH HIGH for their upcoming singles album! cant wait! :)

thanks to ALLKPOP and KPOP7 for the update!

No To Lazy

The photographs of one of my favorite photographers Juergen Teller never ceases to amaze me. I would say that the composition, the lighting (film or digital / harsh or soft), the awkward uninhabitable spaces, the guerilla/straight shooter feel of his the shoots (studio or location), the focus on the subject/self, aided by the attitude of the models (celebrity/supermodels/male-to-female or vice versa/or himself) makes his photographs beyond interesting.

Talk about beyond interesting. Nothing is beyond than the amazing BJORK.

For those of you who dont know (which i doubt) you might be familiar with his work for Marc Jacobs (Here are examples of it. The 2006,2007,2008,2009 AD Campaigns respectively)

Vivienne Westwood

The legendary FW 2010 CELINE collection of Phoebe Philo

My favorite Juergen Teller x Marc Jacobs was the most recent. The FW 2010/2011 collection featuring models Frida Gustavsson, Jac Jagaciak and Ann Kenny. I love the GREY GARDENS feel of the shoot. I adore Little Eddie and Big Eddie!

Juergen is famous not only in the Fashion scene but also in (High) Art. Noted as the heir to the legendary William Eggleston's photography style (W.E is credited in legitimizing COLOR photography as an artistic medium in ART in the 70s and like his heir Juergen Teller finds beauty in the mundane in ordinary spaces) he is certainly one of the most notable photographers of his generation.

On top off my fascination with Juergen Teller's photographic style is the genius of Vivienne Westwood, Marc Jacob and now for Phoebe Philo (I couldnt ask for more)

Here is a Juergen Teller/Marc Jacobs/Vivienne Westwood/Celine inspired testshoot i did with Photographer Rxandy Capinpin Styled by Me (Ryuji Shiomitsu) Make Up Artist Anton Patdu and hairstylist Jay Wee with model Kate Bautista. Crisscrossing style references from recent and past collections of Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Here are some of the photos published in Manila Bulletin Fashion & Lifestyle Section yesterday.
