Fantastico! Stupire! Brilliante! Prada! ♥

PRADA never ceases to amaze us fashion stylists, fashion-philes and designers alike. Miuccia Prada had always pushed the bounderies of concept and design. Thus making her brand one of the strongest, if not the BEST fashion house in the world.

I adore Prada! I especially love the mix of intellectual, high-concept, wearable fashion mixed with all the PRADA-isms Miuccia herself instituted. I think everyone would agree that we all wait for her shows, or wait for the update on STYLE.com, or the updates on all the established fashion blogs. As many people say with her shows, its either you love it or you hate it. Either way, her collections are always talked about, discussed and referred to.

It is one of my foremost fashion dreams to work for Mrs. Prada. She is Fantastico! Stupire! Brilliante!

FORD Supermodel of the World National Finals 2011 (PH)

...and the FORD Supermodel of the World National 2011 winner, who will be representing the Philippines in The FORD Supermodel of the World Competition in New York City this January 2011 is Danica Magpantay!!!

Luckily i was given the chance by Runway Productions/Cal Carries International Philippines (c/o Mr. Allan Acosta :)) to style the High Fashion shoot of the FORD Supermodel of the World National Finals with photographer BJ Pascual and Make Up Artist Eric and his Team. The Competition proper was held during the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2011 at the SMX Convention Center/SM Mall of Asia.

14 Finalist were chosen to compete for the much anticipated chance to represent the Philippines in the prestigious competition.

With past representative like

Charo Ronquillo (3rd Place. 2005 World Finals in New York City)

and

Charlene Almarvez (1st Runner Up. 2010 World Finals in Sao Paolo Brazil)

we definitely have high hopes for Danica! we all wish her the best! :)

GENERATION MEGA: The Mega Young Designers Competition 2011

The MEGA Young Designer Competition have had the reputation of launching the careers of young filipino designers. Having the long line of winners (Aries Lagat, Alex Pigao, et.al.), which have proven they are cut above the rest among the plethora of designers, it is a privilege for the new chosen few to be part of this new endeavour of MEGA. Indeed fashion reality TV is a good way to market the new designers, especially the winner. Cant wait to watch this!

My Addiction to Anything Korean

Lets get this straight... i adore anything thats cute.

Add on to that a great fashion sense (or a great fashion stylist) + a considerable cute face + a splash of amazingly sweet/or corny TV comedy/drama shows + acting chops who can also sing and dance or vice versa (a singer who can dance and act) = then you've got yourself a combination of a korean hearthrob.

I did have the seeds of this addiction planted since i started watching (on/off) koreanovelas shown on local TV. I always get distracted with the dubbing so i stop watching, then watch it on DVD, or try to watch it again but on mute.

I have a handful of favorites like Princess Hours, My Lovely Sam Soon, Boys Before Flowers and You're Beautiful just to name a few.

Lee Min Ho of Boys Over Flowers and Jang Geun Suk of You're Beautiful would have to be my favorites among the actors! i adore both of them! so cutee! ehhh ♥

I did a shoot with a new local boy band here in the Philippines and i gladly used references of my favorite Korean TV Show Youre Beautiful and a little GDragon (Big Bang) who i also love.

MEG Magazine November 2010

I styled a fashion editorial shot for MEG Magazine's (PH) November 2010 issue referencing the cool and hip Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 Collection.

Christopher Bailey, who amazingly perfected the Burberry fashion codes, made Outerwear the focal point of the collection. Shearling Jackets with giant collars, Parkas, Military Jackets, Overcoats and Trenchcoats were all used to cover the 'almost-dainty-but-not-really' lacy dresses in hues of moss greens, mustards and beige. Then paired with thigh-high leather boots made the whole look úber cool and úber chic. won't you guys agree? ♥

In the issue Georgina Wilson, who is very beautiful! was the cover girl. I believe that she is in an Eric De Los Santos leopard print onesie. Heres the cover of the issue

Now here are the photos of the shoot i did.

I did have a hard time sourcing Shearling Jackets in the highstreet brands here in the Philippines. But luckily i did find great Outerwear which is one of the most important items to feature for the shoot. Such a shame that Zara, Topshop, Mango, et.al. just recently released the shearling jackets i needed for this shoot. Oh well next time.

During the shoot, it was raining and our models Patricia Prieto and Pauline Prieto were so cool to brave the rain. We continued to do the shoot until we got the perfect shots! i love them! i love the team! ♥
